Invitation to Worship
To all who are weary and need rest
To all who mourn and long for comfort
To all those who wander and are looking for a story
To all who feel isolated and miss community
To all who are broken and want healing
To all who feel worthless and wonder if God cares
To all who are oppressed and yearn for justice
To all who fail and desire strength
To all who sin and need a Savior
To all who hunger and thirst for righteousness
And to whomever will come–
This church opens wide her doors and offers welcome
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
Scripture Reading
Psalm 63 (ESV)
[1] O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
[2] So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
[3] Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
[4] So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
[5] My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
[6] when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
[7] for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
[8] My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.
[9] But those who seek to destroy my life
shall go down into the depths of the earth;
[10] they shall be given over to the power of the sword;
they shall be a portion for jackals.
[11] But the king shall rejoice in God;
all who swear by him shall exult,
for the mouths of liars will be stopped.
Call to Worship
Let us worship God, our light and our salvation.
The Lord is the stronghold of our lives.
We desire to live in God’s house
and to seek God in his holy temple.
We have come with shouts of joy,
to sing and to make music to the Lord.
Let us worship God in spirit and in truth.
Teach us your ways and make straight our paths
in this hour of worship and always.

Church Planting Video
Learn about our brothers and sisters at The Commons LA in Los Angeles, California. We are glad to support The Commons through our partnership with Acts 29. Learn more about the churches we are supporting through Acts 29 in 2020.
Family Prayer
Take a few moments to pray together for The Commons LA. They have asked that we join them in praying for them as they pursue to the work of the Spirit bringing gifts and courage to Jesus-loving leaders in 2020. Pray that as they journey through the Gospel of John, the Holy Spirit would help people see Jesus as the Son of God and for TCLA to follow Him with reckless abandon in a performance-driven culture.
Please also pray for your brothers and sisters in The Town Church family, for our Leadership Advisory Team, and for a smooth reopening process.
Sermon “The Thirsty Soul”
A sermon from Psalm 143, preached by Pastor Nate Downey. The sermon will premiere at 10:30 AM on July 19 and will be available to stream anytime after that.

Benediction
Say this together:
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling
and to present you blameless
before the presence of his glory with great joy,
to the only God, our Savior,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority,
before all time and now and forever.
Amen.
