Digital Liturgy 6/21/20
Invitation to Worship
To all who are weary and need rest
To all who mourn and long for comfort
To all those who wander and are looking for a story
To all who feel isolated and miss community
To all who are broken and want healing
To all who feel worthless and wonder if God cares
To all who are oppressed and yearn for justice
To all who fail and desire strength
To all who sin and need a Savior
To all who hunger and thirst for righteousness
And to whomever will come–
This church opens wide her doors and offers welcome
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
Scripture Reading
Isaiah 26:1-4
[1] We have a strong city;
he sets up salvation
as walls and bulwarks.
[2] Open the gates,
that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in.
[3] You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
[4] Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.
Opening Prayer
This is the day that you have made, Lord.
Help us to rejoice in it and be glad!
Remind us of the privileges we enjoy as your people:
to come to you in these moments,
to confess our sins,
to receive forgiveness and give it,
to pray and sing and listen,
to renew our fainting spirits,
to rest in all your promises.
Open our eyes to see you, Lord.
Open our ears to hear your Word.
Visit us through your Holy Spirit,
and help us to celebrate our faith.
Amen.

Sermon “How to Sleep in a Broken World”
A sermon from Psalm 4 preached by Pastor Nate Downey. The sermon will premiere at 10:30 AM on June 21 and will be available to stream anytime after that.
Response
In response to God’s goodness and faithfulness, let’s respond through giving, communion, and singing.

If you are part of the Town Church family, you can give online or text any dollar amount to 84321 to give.
Communion
If you follow Jesus, we invite you to share in communion in your home. As Jesus taught, take some bread and wine or juice and remember his sacrificial death for us. Take communion together and then respond through singing along with the songs below.

Benediction
Say this together:
Now may the Lord of peace himself
give you peace at all times
